As a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Serve as the Supervisory/Senior Duty Officer and manage the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) Watch Section, which is on duty 24x7x365, managing cyber incident responses within the Executive Branch.
-Serve as the most senior point of contact to other departments and agencies of federal, state, and local government on cyber security incidents.
-Manage incident triage and coordination with the analysis and detection section to identify and analyze technology and cyber impacts to IT assets.
-Provide incident response coordination and tracking for cyber and communications stakeholders.
-Direct floor operations for the Operation Manager to maintain and share continuity of domestic situational awareness of cyber threats.
-Coach, facilitate, solve work problems and participate in the work of the team
-Explain team goals and objectives to assigned team members and assist team in organizing to accomplish work
-Brief senior government and impacted private sector leadership regarding the threat landscape
New employees must serve a one year probationary period.
Employees who are initially appointed to supervisory positions must serve a supervisory probationary period for one year.
