ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position serves as an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist within the Selections Branch (HDRTD) in the Talent Acquisition Office. The Selections Branch supports the identification and hiring of external job candidates to meet NGA's current and future talent needs. The incumbent will serve as a lead supporting the identification, development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of applicant pre-hire assessments, including pre-hire assessment program strategy and plans, assessment development and/or identification, validation studies, and psychometric analysis of assessment data. The incumbent should have knowledge of employment regulations and laws and experience implementing fair and legally defensible selection practices. The incumbent also collaborates with others to create strategies and tools to optimize and streamline the applicant screening and hiring process.
The incumbent should be a dynamic researcher and data savvy professional who applies analytic rigor to each project. On a day-to-day basis, duties for this position include a combination of selection assessment development and support, validation work, psychometric and data analysis, problem solving, process improvement, and organizational research. The incumbent works with others to develop and communicate innovative plans to improve applicant assessment and enhance the applicant experience. The incumbent interacts regularly with personnel at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy are keys to success. Attention to detail, strong project management and writing skills and the ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously are required. Ability to foster communication and teamwork is a must.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required).
