Serve as general administrative law advisor and Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) for offenses committed on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH).
About the Position:
Receives administrative supervision from the Chief, Administrative Law Division. Independently plans and conducts extensive factual and legal research studies and investigations of cases or legal problems employing all legal and factual source material. Frequently required to resolve extremely complex and difficult legal questions or factual issues on short notice without legal precedents. Provides written or oral opinions or recommendations based largely upon experience and extensive expertise in incumbent's field and in other specialty or technical areas. Guidelines include legal references, agency directives and regulations, policy and precedent decisions of the Department of the Army (DA), Department of Defense (DoD), General services Administration, and the courts; decisions of the Comptroller General of the United States. Executive Orders, opinions of the Attorney General of the United States and applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Legal opinion or advice given by incumbent, either orally or in writing ordinarily serves as the basis of action by the Commander (MDW or designee), chiefs of MDW staff directorates and commanders and staffs of subordinate and installations.
