You will be a member of the legal staff of the U.S. Army Garrison-Kwajalein located at Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, providing legal advice on a variety of matters including, but not limited to administrative and civil law, contract and procurement law, labor and employment law ethics, international and host nation law, and environmental law.

Services include a small, non-DODEA K-12 school system, a CYSS, and medical facility (no specialty care, pre-employment physical exam required). Family member screening and evaluation due to limited exceptional family member resources. Located 2400 miles southwest of Hawaii in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, surrounding one of the world's largest tropical lagoons, you can enjoy access to activities such as world-class diving, snorkeling, fishing, golfing, boating, and organized sports, as well as, beautiful beaches, a year-round tropical climate, and a short walk or bike-to-work (no POVs). About the Position:
You will be a member of the legal staff of the US Army Garrison-Kwajalein located at Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, providing legal advice on a variety of matters including, but not limited to administrative and civil law, contract and procurement law, labor and employment law, ethics, international and host nation law, and environmental law.
Encumbent will provide legal services and expert counsel to the U.S. Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll and staff elements.

Serves as an Attorney-Adviser performing duties under the technical guidance of IMCOM, US Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll. Interprets laws generally relating to the Army and its members, and laws specifically relating to activities conducted by the US Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA). Applies relevant statutes and applicable directives, regulations, and other guidance from the Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and the US Army Installation Management Command. Serves as legal advisor, providing comprehensive oral and written legal advice and opinions to the Garrison Commander and staff in matters related to government contracts, fiscal law, FOIA/Privacy Act, labor and employment law, command authority, property, environmental law, military justice, administrative bar actions, international law, and other administrative law issues. Reviews for legal sufficiency and concurs or prepares comments to proposed installation regulations and directives, interagency support agreements, and other documents and agreements. Drafts local regulations and directives for which the Office of the Command Judge Advocate is the proponent. Represents the command in administrative hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA) or other administrative boards. Provides legal assistance to military, civilian, and eligible contractor personnel.
