This position is located at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The base provides permanent support facilities for American troops in Kuwait, replacing temporary facilities that had been used since the Gulf War. It is a United States Army installation which accommodates elements of the US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard. Camp Arifjan is located south of Kuwait City and Ali AL Salem Airbase, and west of the Shuaiba Port (Military Sea Port of Debarkation/Embarkation, or SPOD) and Kuwait Naval Base (KNB). The weather can be hot and dry with extreme heat in the summer months and mild winters. Area Support Group Kuwait, ASG-KU, implements the Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) with the State of Kuwait to enhance security and stability of the region; conducts force protection and security operations, administers camp operations in Kuwait and Bahrain, secures army camps and nodes within Kuwait, and provides support to Coalition and Joint Reception, Staging, and Onward Integration (CJRSOI) to facilitate theatre sustainment operations. In this position, you will serve as the Protocol Officer for ASG-Kuwait and be responsible for assuring proper protocol for all functions and visitors, as well as developing, maintaining, and overseeing execution of the ASG Kuwait Protocol Program. Your areas of responsibility will include visiting Officer support, Host Nation dignitary protocol, and general military and civilian protocol procedures. This includes recommending, planning, and directing a variety of activities to ensure that proper protocol is observed. You will also serve as the resident protocol expert for ASG Kuwait.

Experience required:
