Performs routine or repetitive established tasks, following verbal and written instructions, under close supervision of higher-level employees. Work is reviewed in detail, while in progress and upon completion, to ensure and assess trainee's progress, and to evaluate attainment of training objectives and readiness for increased autonomy and further training.

-At the Entry Level, duties include routine care giving tasks, helping with materials and activities, receiving children, interacting with children and attending to the children's physical needs.
-At the Skill Level, additional duties and responsibilities will include ensuring care is provided in accordance with standards, assist in planning and conducting activities, review, implement, and brief lower grade staff on schedules, conduct health checks, ensure the safety and sanitation of children, complete reports and interact with parents.
-At the Target Level, duties include the full range of responsibilities and work to plan and conduct developmental programs, develop games, materials, props, and list of equipment, while ensuring child supervision.
