This position is located in the Pharmacy Department at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility, Belcourt, North Dakota. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacist for direct clinical pharmacy
services for inpatient and outpatient services at the Service Unit. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease
states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients. This position will report to the Chief Pharmacist.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):EDUCATION: Four-year bachelor's degree in pharmacy recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education. LICENSURE: Except for research positions that do not entail patient care, all applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. For GS-11: Successful completion of a 6-year course of study leading to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree; 1 year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least GS-09;
For GS-12: One year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least GS-11; Medical Requirements Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
SPECALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized is defined as work involved in providing specialty services to all patient care services areas and provides pharmaceutical care for acute patients. Major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states.
The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements. If privileges are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee will be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from Federal service.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
