The Supervisor Health System Specialist will report directly to the Director of the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System. The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System includes the medical center in Biloxi, MS, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Mobile, AL; Eglin, FL; Panama City, FL; and Pensacola, FL. The primary location for this position will be Biloxi; however, the incumbent may be required to travel to other locations within the health care system. Duties include but are not limited to:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is normally sedentary, but includes some walking, and carrying of light items such as books and papers. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees must have held a GS-12 grade at least 52 weeks to meet time-in-grade requirements.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience typically includes but not limited to: progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following:
