NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:
This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers and oversees the Individual Training Management Program within the state. Plans, coordinates, monitors and administers the operation and security for the computer systems and software applications. Interprets Department of the Army, United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), and National Guard Bureau (NGB) training regulations, manuals, policies, procedures and ensures compliance with all pertinent regulations and local directives. Provides training statistics for the Quarterly Army Performance Review for execution year quotautilization. Serves as the principal liaison between TRADOC Proponent Schools, NGB Individual Training Branch, United States Army Reserve Command Institutional Training Divisions, Total Army Schools System Training Battalions, Civilian Vocational schools and ARNG units/members to resolve academic, personal, monetary or travel problems, encountered while attending school. Coordinates with the schools to verify changes in course length, late start, or recycling of a student. Coordinates with CONUS HQ on final AT plan, changes, and future 3-year plan. Researches the availability of leadership or proficiency correspondence courses in various skills for professional development through written and/or verbal communication to personnel and promotes attendance.Formulates, oversees and evaluates overall training programs for the State. Develops short and long term training plans that support the Adjutant General's (TAG) training guidance. Develops and prepares annual operational and training budget requirements. Recommends sub-allocations of funding for subordinate organizations in accordance with annual funding allowance and established priorities. Evaluates organizational readiness reports and makes recommendations for improvement/modification to organizational training programs. Develops, reviews and adjusts command level deployment and contingency operation plans. Provides technical guidance and assistance to subordinate units in the development of deployment and redeployment plans for use in responding to local/state/national emergencies, homeland security missions, and anti-terrorism/force protection. Directs scheduling and coordination for the use of training sites and facilities.Develops and implements Risk Management plans and programs for the command. Plans, organizes and assigns work to employees engaged in training, security and readiness at the command level.
