As the Center Director for the Nevada Water Science Center, you will be responsible for defining the overall science program of the Science Center and for overseeing the planning, conduct, and completion of all center science activities, which encompass research related to water resources science. 1) The USGS Nevada Water Science Center Director manages a diverse research program comprised of a high-performing group of scientists aimed at providing reliable, impartial, foundational data and scientific analysis to address water issues facing Nevada today. The Center's mission is accomplished through a number of strategic partnerships with Federal, State and local government agencies, universities, and professional associations. Please describe your experience in leading, developing and executing strategic partnerships to advance interdisciplinary science focused on water resources.
2) The Nevada Water Science Center Director is responsible for executing a multimillion-dollar scientific research program, including establishing and managing human, financial, equipment, IT, facilities, and real-time hydrologic monitoring systems. Please describe your experience managing such a program.
