As a General Attorney, the incumbent provides legal services to the General Services Administration service and staff offices, regarding any legal issue or legal problem arising out of performance of its mission. Incumbent is required to be or become professionally conversant with all applicable federal laws as well as applicable laws of the states in which the position is located.
The incumbent must possess comprehensive knowledge of the Federal conflicts of interest laws and standards of conduct rules and procedures.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409 per year. (based on Step 1, outside of locality pay areas) to $143,181 (Locality Pay Area of Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Port St. Lucie, FL). Locality pay will be determined once the duty location has been established. Please note the duty location for this position will be within the Southeast Sunbelt Region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
