Duties

Help

Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI).
Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights and weekends.
Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. All GS and NAF employees whether fulltime or part time are eligible to apply for this position.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
Must possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
Must have skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

Incentives will not be paid.

Overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
