Knowledge of the principles, concepts and methods of legal research and reference sources sufficient to locate appropriate data to perform recurring assignments using established procedures.
Ability to research factual and legal data from a variety of sources, including the Internet, libraries, and legal databases such as Lexis and Westlaw.
Skill in communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with consumers, requestors, and submitters of information.
Skill in proofreading and editing and in providing close attention to detail in all work.
Knowledge and experience in handling a variety of legal office functions, including recommending and implementing changes in office procedures, establishing, and maintaining office-wide paper and electronic file system(s), and anticipating administrative problems and requirements.
