The Section advises the Assistant Attorney General on environmental legal and policy questions, handles legislative matters related to the Division's work, litigates cases, coordinates responses to Freedom of Information Act requests, manages international matters; and other special projects. LPS also serves as the Division's ethics officer, alternative dispute resolution counselor, and liaison with state/local governments.

This is an excepted service appointment under the DOJ Pathways Recent Graduates Program.
