Duties

Help

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Works with executive leadership to identify and design projects that directly address leadership priorities to transform agency operations to best support the agency's broadcast mission.

  • Defines project scopes, resource requirements, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Identifies and analyzes project obstacles and goals.
  • Creates long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and deadlines.
  • Establishes work structures to support project goals and objectives as well as appropriate monitoring mechanisms.
  • Delegates tasks to managers and staff best positioned to complete them.
  • Communicates with the team, stakeholders, and project sponsor regularly to keep the project aligned with goals and expectations.
  • Performs quality control on the project throughout development and at established benchmarks to maintain standards and operability.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures.
Keeps the project sponsors apprised of existing and emerging issues or obstacles that put schedules or budgets at risk.
  • Prepares periodic written reports and oral presentations describing project status.
  • Determines whether in-house or outside resources are required to complete projects. If outside resources are required, coordinates research and procurement of suitable service providers.

Qualifications

GS-14 - Qualification Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or equivalent level in the public or private sector, which is directly related to the line of work. Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Listed below are the experiences, skills, abilities, and knowledge, which MUST be addressed within the applicants resume in order to be considered:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex, transformational projects involving multiple functions across one or more agencies, or organizational elements
  • Proven communications skills and ability to effectively explain complicated processes and/or issues succinctly and successfully at all levels of an organization.
  • Documented success in establishing, monitoring, and executing, multifaceted, benchmarked project plans within timelines and allocated resources.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
GS-13- Qualification Requirements

Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.   • Demonstrated experience successfully contributing to complex, transformational projects involving multiple functions across one or more agencies, or organizational elements.
  • Proven communications skills and ability to effectively explain complicated processes and/or issues succinctly.
  • Documented success in designing, planning and monitoring high-value, mission critical projects.

Education
