The primary purpose of this position is to supervise employees who install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. The supervisor in this career field must also possess the ability to perform on-or-off equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems.
(1) Planning: Serves as section supervisor, exercising supervisory responsibility over assigned integrated systems repair and maintenance work operations.
(2) Work Direction: Investigates work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes; implements corrective actions, within authority, to resolve work problems.
(3) Administration: Supports and explains management programs to subordinates. Plans and establishes overall leave schedule.
(4) Implements safety regulatory requirements. Ensures subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
(5) Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.

Primary consideration will be given to current WY ANG military members. If required, additional areas of consideration certificates may be released to hiring managers.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician.
Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Dual Status Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) Title 5 and T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the 153rd Maintenance Squadron.
Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) Title 5 and T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current military members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 36 months of specialized working experiences in performing, training and/or supervising assigned integrated systems repair and maintenance work operations. Must have working and training experiences in the maintenance, repair, and modification of integrated multi-complex avionics systems. Experiences included redirecting individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work. Experiences included implementing corrective actions, within authority, to resolve work problems. Experiences in writing FWS 2610 performance standards and provided subordinates with formal appraisals of their work performance. Experiences involved advising and counseling workers on how to improve their performance through explanations and demonstrations of work techniques. Experiences involved providing recommendations for disciplinary actions. Experiences included interviewing candidates for vacancies and recommending selections to higher level supervisors. Experiences included compliance with wearing the appropriate safety equipment and following pertinent safety precautions. Experiences in participating in readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Experiences may have included work that involved accident/mishap responses, shift supervision, special project management, heavy equipment operations, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or served as a team member that responded to natural disasters or civil emergencies.
NOTE: Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g. 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
