The purpose of this position is to produce digital content, develop and implement digital strategies, employ audience studies and help define OPA’s public-facing owned platforms’ content strategy. As Web and Digital Content Producer you will report to the Head of Web and Digital Media and perform the following duties.

Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system. For this position Specialized experience is defined as: 1) developing written and multimedia website content for an organization, news outlet or a reputable blog; providing strategic direction on the layout and content for an organization, cultural institution, news outlet or a reputable blog; 2) writing, editing, coordinating and posting content and updates for an organization, cultural institution, news outlet or a reputable blog; 3) overseeing and processing internal requests for web content updates and the development of new webpages; 4) planning and executing Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing efforts for an organization, cultural institution, news outlet or a reputable blog; 5) collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage an organization’s website or a reputable blog; evaluating end-to-end visitor experience across multiple channels for an organization’s website.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
