The Senior Level (SL) salary range starts at $135,468 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience that includes overseeing the collection, management, and storage of data across an organization, and analyzing and deriving insights from data, to inform business strategy and value; advising on data and evidence-based decision making, the development of analytical products and services, the development and assignment of IT data related roles and responsibilities; leading the efforts to analyzing, define data requirements and specifications, and track or integrate data collections, physical data models, and linkages between data sets; developing and managing data management policies, and lead governance efforts for data management.

MANDATORY COMPETENCIES:
1. Demonstrated experience leading development and implementation of enterprise-wide data management and technology strategies, programs and services. This includes experience creating and scaling operations, managing consultancy units and promulgating data governance and analytics policies and best practices to leverage data for maximum business value.
2. Extensive knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, the principles, procedures, and tools of data management, such as: data governance, data modeling techniques, data dictionaries, data inventorying, data warehousing, data mining, data disposal, data integration, and data standardization processes.
3. Demonstrated skill in communicating with senior management officials in government and private sector, information technology professionals, and non-technical representatives to develop support for complex or controversial programs, exchange information about new technology and developments in the data management industry, and foster the effective and timely use of technological improvements to ensure data and technology continuously improves services and products that serve external customers, stakeholders and partners.
