This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Investigation Compliance Analyst, GS-1801-07/09, FPL 13 positions within ITA in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
This self-starter will help a team of International Trade Specialists develop and implement export activities. Duties will include:
1. Assists in discharge of investigative responsibilities.
2. Assists in the analysis and evaluation of data; attends meetings, briefings and hearings; assists with verification of data.
3. Supports the preparation of recommendations for the disposition of assignments.
4. Provides excellent customer service, responding to inquiries by internal and external customers, stakeholders, and the public.
5. Enforces US trade laws through proceedings by performing analysis and research and implementing results.
Security Clearance: You must be able to obtain and maintain a a non-critical moderate risk clearance.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: This position has a positive Education Requirement in addition to at least one year of Specialized Experience OR substitution of education for experience OR combination (if applicable) in order to be found minimally qualified. To qualify at the GS-07 level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal service. Specialized experience at this grade level is defined as:
OR A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with superior academic achievement (S.A.A.) which is based on class standing, grade-point average, or honor society membership (for more information on S.A.A. please click here);
ORAt least one full year of graduate level education (i.e., 18 semester hours);
ORA combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
To qualify at the GS-09 level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the Federal service. Specialized experience at this grade level is defined as:
OR a master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as LL.B. or J.D.)
OR two full years of progressively higher graduate education, in a related field, leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university;
OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must be a recent graduate who has completed within the last two (2) years (or will complete within nine months) of the close date of this announcement, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying education institute.
