GS-11 level: Meet the Specialized Experience requirements or via education options (defined in Education section):
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.
Geographer- utilizing geographic methods, practices and techniques to plan, coordinate, and develop digital GIS schemas, layer and databases; developing geo-referenced digital databases for use as graphic thematic displays, incorporation into GIS databases for attribution and analyses, and for inclusion into other existing databases; and working with digital cartographic data for incorporation into GIS databases.
Biologist - using biological practices, principles and techniques sufficient to plan and implement environmental, recreational, and natural resource management activities at a water resources project; experience in natural resource management and related laws, policies and regulations as it pertains to biodiversity, threatened and endangered species, wetland protection, cultural resources and agricultural lease program; and participating in public involvement, contributing open engagement between the agency, public, and stakeholders.
Ecologist - preparing feasibility level water resource studies which may involve navigation or flood control and/or other water resource development activities; developing the proper scope of data collection and analysis to understand the effects of alternative plans to support water resources planning reports and decision documents.
Accountant/Auditor - evaluating and analyzing accounts for regulatory compliance, conducting financial analysis; identifying and recommending solutions to resolve accounting discrepancies in reported data.
Landscape Architect/Architect - participating in the contract administration of major projects; Review contract proposals; Prepare government cost estimates, and contract negotiations.
Engineering - reviewing contractor proposals, submittals, plans and specifications, modifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; providing project planning for field engineering construction projects; preparing schedules and budget estimates; and performing quality assurance/compliance review on contractor performance, contractor submittals, and all phases of the construction process.
General Physicist - providing recommendations toward planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of programs and projects; providing recommendations on the development, coordination, and organization of funding allocations; and participating in public involvement, contributing open engagement between the agency, public, and stakeholders.
Geologist - performing geologic explorations and investigations on foundations, materials, soil, etc., to support major construction and environmental remediation projects.
