The duties may include, but are not limited to:
Serve on numerous marketing and market research projects aimed at improving the performance of marketing facilities, and/or developing appropriate agricultural marketing strategies.
Work in cooperation with producer associations, trade groups, brokers, State, local and tribal governments and Division Staff.
Assist in defining, planning and organizing the scope of research or technical studies, and establish project objectives, methodologies and timetables for completion.
Use automated methods to maintain, manipulate, and analyze data.
Monitor business trends affecting agricultural producers, processors, and marketing institutions.
Prepare interpretive reports, articles, and other written or oral presentations that accurately and comprehensively reflect the results of previous or ongoing research/technical assistance project.
Establish and maintains contacts with industry, grower, university and community cooperators to facilitate and achieve program goals.
Provide interpretation, advice and consultation on agricultural marketing issues and developments to governmental officials, university personnel, industry organizations or citizens.

To qualify, you MUST meet all program and qualification requirements by 06/30/2022. To be eligible, applicants must meet one of the following requirements;

Completed all requirements for an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the previous two (2) years;

Individuals who, due to military service obligation, were precluded from applying to the Recent Graduates Program during any portion of the 2-year eligibility period described above shall have a full 2-year period of eligibility upon release or discharge from active duty. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze agricultural marketing issues, including the ability to collect primary data, create original databases, and extract/report pertinent information from large datasets.

Ability to prepares reports, articles, presentations or other communications materials that share research and technical information of interest to local food systems' stakeholders.

OR

master's or equivalent graduate degree in Marketing, Public Administration, Public Health, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, or related

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

Demonstrated ability to translate research and/or technical information into a practical guide or training for local food stakeholders.

Recent Graduate appointments are intended to last for 1 year.
