Planning and Evaluating: Knowledge of management concepts covering recreation, cultural resources, and tribal relations. This includes having a strong understanding of: (1) the relevant laws, policies, and regulations pertaining to branch programs; (2) program management concepts and organizational skills sufficient to provide program oversight.
Administration and Management: Ability to oversee and integrate the budgets for all Branch programs. This includes communicating issues and challenges to upper management and the Washington Office.
Human Capital Management: Ability to supervise/manage a diverse workforce. This includes having advanced skills in hiring, employee development, team building, conflict resolution, administrative procedures, and EEO.
Partnering: Advanced knowledge of recreation and tourism concepts, programs, and policy sufficient to effectively work with outside agencies, organizations, and the public to meet recreation and tourism objectives through effective and efficient partnerships.
