The VA Northern California Health Care System is looking for candidate who is an enthusiastic leader to chief a robust Research program. The Associate Chief of Staff for Research (ACOS/R), along with Research staff, will formulate the goals and objectives of the research program, advise and support investigators so that they are successful, oversee the administration of research activities, and ensure that programs meet all regulatory compliance requirements. For qualified applicants, appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level may be included with our teaching affiliate, University of California, Davis.
This position is primarily based at our Sacramento VA Medical Center, but may travel between facilities within the healthcare system and includes supervision of research activities at other sites within the healthcare system. Candidates should possess research experience as well as exceptional leadership, managerial, and collaborative skills. Incumbent is expected to participate in clinical practice if a clinical provider.
