THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This position is located at the 162d WG in Tucson, Arizona. The primary purpose of the position is to troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, test and adjust aircraft ordnance systems, equipment and components. On and/or off-equipment inspection, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting and repair capability of weapons release and gun systems; verifies and analyzes malfunctions, troubleshoots, tests, inspects and loads/unloads conventional munitions; installs/removes weapons delivery equipment, launchers and gun systems.
Military Grades: A1C/E3 - TSgt/E6
Compatible Military Assignments: Possess the AFSC of 2W1X1.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
WG-05 - Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to learn procedures used to service, repair and maintain aircraft ordnance equipment. Experience which has demonstrated an ability to recognize various defects of equipment. Experience in the use of common hand tools. Experience showing the ability to follow written instruction.
WG-08 - Must have at least 12 months experience or training in repair and installation of ordnance equipment and components such as launchers, pylons, bomb racks and actuators. Experience which required the ability to diagnose malfunctions. Experience in hand tools and a limited number of measuring instruments. Experience in the use of a variety of test equipment. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.
WG-11 - Must have at least 18 months experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedy where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and a limited number of measuring equipment. Experience in the use of a variety of test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):
1. Ability to operate, analyze performance, troubleshoot, inspect, install, maintain, overhaul, repair and modify operational ordnance system(s) and subsystems consisting of numerous complex electronic components in fighter aircraft.
2. Knowledge to remove, repair, install, inspect and conduct operational performance checkout of aircraft ordnance and isolates malfunctions and identifies if failures are in specific LRU's, aircraft weapons, avionics multiplex data bus matrix assemblies, or aircraft digital data wiring.
3. Ability to load/unload, position and safety air munitions using applicable technical data and handling equipment.
4. Skilled in conducting off-equipment troubleshooting and functional checks of electronic weapons control systems to ensure proper manual/electrical release and fire sequence.
