The McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia is accepting applications for a full-time board eligible/board certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Our program is the only one in the Veterans Affairs healthcare system performing heart transplantation and routinely and very successfully implanting LVADs. Be part of our team with excellent clinical support and great opportunities to do clinical research. We perform a full spectrum of cardiac surgery and general thoracic surgery. Affiliated with the CTS program at Virginia Commonwealth University hospital.
Incumbent must have experience and strong interest in heart transplantation and mechanical assist devices.
Compensation is commensurate with education, training and experience. Compensation formula includes base salary and market rate. In addition there is an annual incentive bonus based on quality and service measures such as patient satisfaction and performance appraisal.
