MEMBERSHIP IN THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD IS REQUIRED: This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in the Idaho Army National Guard as a condition of employment. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Loss of military membership will result in immediate loss of your full-time military technician position.

MAJOR DUTIES: (Detailed duties are on the Position Description available at the Human Resources Office)
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Central Vehicle Wash Facility (CVWF). During annual training periods, directs 3 to 5 military personnel who control the operation of the CVWF utilized by military personnel. The incumbent activates the facility thru the operation of a central control panel which activates high pressure water nozzles and corresponding auxiliary equipment. The incumbent individually or thru the direction of assigned military starts up and closes the operations. Switches system from automatic to manual operation in case of breakdown.
Directs or individually performs regular, recurring and continuous preventive maintenance and minor repair of the CVWF. Reports work requiring significant repair to appropriate contractor or supervisor.
Ensures environmental and safety regulations, procedures are strictly enforced and followed. Ensures military personnel operating facility are properly briefed on safety, environmental requirements and operation of facility.
Individually and thru direction of assigned military monitors operation of wash facilities being utilized by military customers. Incumbent prepares shift schedules for assigned military personnel. Requests materials and supplies needed for operations. Establishes and administers training for new employees. Schedules daily washing operations, prepares daily work schedules, maintains daily operating log and maintains special request log.
Performs duties within the fuel point as required. Performs other duties as required.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicants applying at the WG-08 level must have 12 months experience or training with the operation and maintenance of the Central Vehicle Wash Facility (CVWF).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Work involves general or miscellaneous occupations with no one occupation predominate.
Experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and practices associated with the type of work to be done.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
No special education requirements needed for this position.
