The position serves as the Security Police Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge (NCOIC) for the 253d Security Forces Squadron tenant located on Francis E. Warren Air Force Base. Aggressively facilitates, and leads security police programs at an Air National Guard Base, to include installation security, air base ground defense, conventional weapon systems security, law enforcement, training, resource protection, information security, personnel security, industrial security, wartime information security, and security classification management. Administers the physical security program to protect classified or sensitive information, personnel, facilities or other sensitive materials, resources, or processes against criminal, terrorist, or hostile intelligence activities.
(1) Plans, organizes, and directs security police activities.
(2) Develops and implements policies to ensure program effectiveness and efficient use of personnel and equipment.
(3) Administers security police training programs.
(4) Directs security police activities.
(5) Coordinates security police activities.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.

Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current and prior service military members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 12 months experience in the security career field, to include technical training schools and drill-status working experience. Experienced in conducting security police programs at a military installation or facility to include perimeter security, ground defense, conventional weapon systems security, law enforcement, training, resource protection, information security, personnel security, industrial security, wartime information security, and security classification management. Experienced and skilled in planning, organizing, and directing security police activities to support activities such as; security, resource protection, law enforcement, and information security programs. Experienced in developing and implementing policies to ensure program effectiveness and efficient use of personnel and equipment. Skilled in coordinating detailed procedures and instructions for such functions as prevention of unauthorized entry of restricted areas and mission essential resources, use of personnel and equipment. Experienced in evaluating security police weapons to ensure maximum effectiveness. Competent in monitoring security police programs through inspections, reporting systems, and observation.
NOTE: Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g. 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
