This position is located in the Division of Dam Safety Inspections in the Office of Energy Projects, Atlanta Regional Office. As a Supervisory Civil Engineer, some of your typical work assignments may include:

In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience performing dam safety inspections and conducting engineering analyses of dams.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.

The duty location of this position is in Atlanta, GA. Based on our current operating status, FERC employees are teleworking as opposed to coming on-site. When it is determined that our agency will be moving to the reopening phase of our Reconstitution Plan, the expectation will be to physically return to the office in Atlanta, GA. Telework days and any waiting period for eligibility will be determined at that time.
