This position is located in the Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Inspector General (IG) Office. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the focal point for interpreting, developing, and implementing Air Force inspection policy and wing-level long-range strategic plans. Provides direction and oversight of internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, reviews, exercises, and analyses to determine unit effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures operational, contingency, and mobilization plans adhere to policy and direct the effective use of wing resources.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
Employees are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
1. May be required to travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the normal duty station.
2. Work may require access to classified information. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
3. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
4. IAW AF guidance, incumbent must attend the USAF Basic Inspectors Course (BIC) for UEI or CCIP (as appropriate) and the Inspector General training Course (IGTC) within 180 days of assignment to an IG position. Successful completion of other courses will be accomplished IAW applicable DoD, AF and National Guard Bureau regulations.
5. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.

VETERANS' PREFERENCE
