To be considered for the Summer/Fall 2022 Student Volunteer Session, you must apply via the on-line application and submit the required documents.

Students must maintain student eligibility and enrollment throughout the duration of the internship (Applicants must be actively enrolled at an accredited institution). Applicants that have graduated or will graduate prior to the completion of the internship are ineligible to participate without proof of future enrollment in an accredited university.
Applicants must:
1. Be a United States Citizen
2. Be at least 16 years old
3. Have at least a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
4. Be enrolled in an accredited college or university on at least a half-time basis as defined by your educational institution
5. Must be returning to your course of study the semester/quarter immediately following the completion of your internship.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience)
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
Relocation expenses will not be authorized.
Transportation - Travel expenses and arrangements are the sole responsibility of the participant.
Housing - The U.S. Secret Service does not provide housing for Student Volunteer Service Program participants. Housing arrangements are the sole responsibility of the participant.
