Identify program training needs for police trainees, develops and revises training materials and cultivates general and specialized techniques for training in law enforcement.
Instruct OJS law enforcement personnel on law enforcement related subjects according to preestablished lesson plans and course outlines.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of trainees throughout the training curriculum that entails investigating student complaints, student conduct violation and counseling and giving guidance to trainees to resolve and/or prevent problems from recurring or escalating.
Prepare reports for OJS senior officials on training issues and/or issues with trainees. Make oral and written presentations that involve the review of course curriculum and making recommendations on enhancing the Indian Police Academy program.
Perform the full range of police duties, as assigned, in Indian Country that include, but is not limited to: investigating criminal activity; apprehending, arresting and detaining criminal offenders; responding to calls pertaining to traffic accidents, burglary, assault, rape, homicide, and other related criminal activity.
