In response to COVID-19, the incumbent will serve as a temporary Management and Program Analyst in the office of the Chief Operating Officer working with the Policy team.
Within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer the policy team serves as the principal advisor to FSA leadership on all Title IV student assistance programs policy issues. The policy team leads and facilitates FSA’s involvement in the development, implementation, and dissemination of Title IV student aid policy by providing information and advice about program administration and operations to other ED offices and Federal agencies. It also assists FSA directorates, groups, divisions, and branches by informing, advising, assisting and assuring the proper implementation of statutory, regulatory, and other policy requirements in administrating and operating the student aid programs

DUTIES
As a Management and Program Analyst, GS-12 in Partner Participation and Oversight, you will perform the following duties:

Specialized Experience for the GS-12
One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 performing at least two (2) of the following three (3) duties or work assignments:
Experience in applying Title IV statues, regulations, policies to a specific body of evidence to determine a fit between the facts of a case and the policy requirements governing the case.
Experience with translating analytical findings or technical information into practical recommendations.
Experience with researching a particular request for decision to gather evidence that will lead to a decision being made.
