This position has a mandatory education requirement and allows substituting education for experience. You must submit a copy of college transcript(s) (unofficial copy is acceptable) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred. A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted. This position is an entry-level engineer hired under the requirements and provisions of Reclamation's Rotation Engineer Training Program (Program). The program provides for intensive training and professional development. A program participant may be promoted from GS-07 to GS-09 after a minimum of six (6) months of intensive documented training and evidence of professional development as documented through successful performance in the program. Only one (1) accelerated promotion for each participant may be made. Promotions are neither guaranteed nor automatic, but initiated at the request of the supervisor.
You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Current, permanent Federal employees who are selected from this announcement may be required to serve a probationary period.
