You qualify for this position at the GS-13 level (starting salary $103,690) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Coordinating, developing, and implementing transportation management, program and operations; and
- Conducting analytical evaluations to identify the best course of action to meet established agency goals and objectives; and
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure development of a cohesive plan that supports all transportation requirements.

Individual Occupational Requirements:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
Experience that demonstrated a knowledge of the transportation function(s) of the position to be filled.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
