The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
To qualify for this position at the IC-07 level (starting salary $43,683), your resume must clearly demonstrate at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-06) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience:
- Utilizing electronic software such as Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat to create and/or manage documents;
- Utilizing automated software systems to track information; and
- Assisting with data collection or analysis to be presented to leadership.

To qualify for this position at the IC-09 level (starting salary $53,433), your resume must clearly demonstrate at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-07) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience:
- Assisting in the application of laws regulations and policies related to disaster assistance;
- Collecting or tracking data and reports from a variety of sources; and
- Collaborating with stakeholders to collect organize, and maintain information.
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
LL.B. or J.D., if related

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
