    AREA INFORMATION/HOUSING INFORMATION: Page/Wahweap District, Arizona: The district maintains programs in law enforcement, structural/Wildland fire, EMS and SAR. The district encompasses approximately 170,000 acres of Lake Powell and slick rock country ranging in elevation from 3,200 to 5,000 feet. The person selected for this position will be expected to develop and maintain the skills required for operating an ambulance, high-performance patrol boats, 4x4 front/back country patrol vehicles that are used to patrol some of the most technically challenging roads in the park system. The primary duties for this district are water based during the warmers season and water and Back County based in the shoulder seasons. The selectee should be comfortable working solo and back packing in rugged terrain. This position does not require government housing. Frequent after hours callouts are likely. Housing options for rent or to purchase are available in the City of Page.
    Page, Arizona is located on the Arizona-Utah border, 135 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, the nearest larger community. Page looks out on beautiful Lake Powell which offers boating, associated water sports recreation and fishing. The surrounding land of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area offers beautiful red rock country for hiking and backcountry recreational activity. Page is centrally located to many other National Parks, such as the Grand Canyon, Zion, Arches and Canyonlands to name a few. Page offers normal community amenities such as shopping, medical and dental facilities, schools K-12 and college courses available through local Coconino Community College. The area enjoys typical high desert climate with temperatures ranging from 100 in summer to mid-teens in winter with low humidity and sunshine most days of the year.     AREA INFORMATION/HOUSING INFORMATION Bullfrog District, Utah: The district maintains programs in law enforcement, structural/Wildland fire, EMS and SAR. The district encompasses approximately 100,000 acres of slick rock country ranging in elevation from 3,500 to 8,000 feet. The person selected for this position will be expected to develop and maintain the skills required for operating an ambulance, high-performance patrol boats, 4x4 front country patrol vehicles, and modified jeeps that are used to patrol some of the most technically challenging roads in the system. The selectee should be comfortable working solo and back packing in rugged terrain. This position requires government housing occupancy and frequent after hours callouts are likely. Bullfrog is located in the South east corner of Utah in Kane County. Bullfrog is a small community with around 150 people. There is a marina, fuel station, ranger station, Lodge resort and K-12 school. Bullfrog is a unique community as it is one of the few park units that has a K-12 school within the boundaries of the National Park Service. The nearest large community is Price Utah, 210 miles away. Price offers normal community amenities such as shopping, medical and dental facilities, schools K-12 and college courses available through Utah State University-Eastern. The other nearest large community is Grand Junction Colorado, 224 miles away. Grand Junction offers amenities such as shopping, medical and dental facilities, schools K-12 and college courses available through Colorado Mesa University. Bullfrog looks out on beautiful Lake Powell which offers boating, associated water sports recreation and fishing. The surrounding land of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area offers beautiful red rock country for hiking and backcountry recreational activity. The area enjoys typical high desert climate with temperatures ranging from 100 in summer to mid-teens in winter with low humidity and sunshine most days of the year. Elevation in Bullfrog is 3753 feet above sea level.
