Coast Guard ALJs are responsible for conducting administrative hearings and issuing decisions for several different Federal departments and agencies, e.g., DHS, Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Protection, Merit Systems Protection Board, and Bureau of Industry and Security. You will serve as an attorney-advisor and provide assistance to an ALJ in a wide variety of administrative proceedings. Cases may involve important questions of public policy, have substantial impact on activities of the Coast Guard (CG) and industry, which may be critical concern to the public interest.
