The mission of DEEOIC is to administer the benefits’ provisions of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA), which provides compensation and medical benefits for covered workers (or their survivors) that sustain and suffer from a broad range of employment-related illnesses as a result of exposure to beryllium, ionizing radiation, and other hazards unique to nuclear weapons’ production and testing.
Examines requests for compensable medical services and treatments. Will serve as a point of contact. Examines claims request and determines if evidence provided will support claim. Will provide support and answers to internal and external customers. Initiates referrals. Will provide service and guidance on policies and procedures. Prepares written and oral presentations. Conducts research.
Occasional travel - For training or meetings.
