    As an Oceanographer, you will perform the following duties:

    • Conduct applied research and analyze oceanographic observations and predictive model data to understand relative sea level rise and coastal inundation in an operational environment.
    • Generate routine and specialized oceanographic products derived from data sets that meet core user needs for total water level outlooks and inundation mapping to support climate and coastal resilience.
    • Participate on and lead assigned teams or projects related to physical and operational oceanographic projects, applications and products in support of water level, current, wave observation, modeling and prediction activities.
    • Write technical reports and Standard Operating Procedures and provide presentations that communicate scientific information to internal and external stakeholders.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 5% of domestic travel may be required for this position.
