The employee serves as a mathematical statistician and conducts research related to statistical methodology, with a focus on integration and analysis of data from multiple sources, estimation, data simulations, machine learning, and statistical programming. - Determines the sample design specifications, which include types of frames used, sample sizes, definitions of sampling units, and uses of frame data for stratification.
- Calculating non-response weights and variances and imputing for missing values and evaluating non-response bias.
- Develop and execute data analysis procedures based on theoretical results in multivariate analysis, statistical inference, non-parametric statistics, survey sampling, linear models, and time series analysis.
- Prepare and update parameters and summaries required for surveys/censuses.
