    Responsibilities

    This position resides in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of the Secretary, Office of Construction & Facilities Management (CFM), Resource Management Office (RMO), Database Management and Logistics Service (DMLS). This office has the responsibility for the communication and coordination of operational information systems to include web-based accessible materials, space, records management, emergency operational policies and procedures, equipment maintenance contracts, acquisition for equipment and furniture for both Central Office and field based offices, all tasks pursuant to Equipment Inventory Management (EIL), liaison between CFM and Office of Information Technology (OI&T) and other administrative matters related to logistics. The incumbent serves as a Management & Program Analyst managing the daily activities of Logistics/Facilities, IT Asset Management and SharePoint/Website Content Database Management in support of Construction Facilities Management.

    Major duties consist of Database Management and Web Administrator and SharePoint Support. The incumbent supports the development and methodologies of collection and processing of large volumes of data in support of in the enhancement of products, processes, and systems. Will support the efforts of data mining and retrieval. Provides technical expertise in the resolution of unusual problems and difficulties with the design and operation of current management information systems. Assists in training sessions to field engineering personnel and CFM officials to facilitate the use of technological advancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of current work processes. Liaisons with Office of Information Technology for CFM Technical Support. Coordinates needs and focuses CFM needs with the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Supports the planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and managing of CFM's Internet/Intranet activities and services. Accountable for CFM Web Content/Master utilizing project management methods to CFM projects at all stages. Is a Point of Contact for CFM troubleshooting problems with design and telecommunications systems. Serves as the liaison with Office of Information Technology (OIT).

    Work schedule: Required to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

    The full performance level of this position is GS-13. At the GS-9 level, you will perform similar duties but under closer supervision.
    Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
