    This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number T5900400and is part of the NJ 177th FTR WG, National Guard.

    The primary purpose is to administer and accomplish functions of one or more of the following human resources programs: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, and/or Readiness.

    Responsibilities

    As a HR SPEC (MILITARY), GS-0201-9, you will:

    • Serve as the statewide functional expert and point of contact with management, supervisors and employees in the administration of the employee benefits program
    • Develop instructions pertaining to technician personnel administration matters
    • Assist in administering the retirement programs for technicians desiring to retire under any of the retirement systems.
    • Provide technical guidance and assistance to management and employees on benefit programs such as Federal Employee Health Benefits, Federal Employees Group Life Insurance, Thrift Savings Program, Federal Employee Retirement System, Long Term Care Program, Mass Transportation Program, etc.
