The incumbent serves as Producer and Multimedia Specialist in the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), Voice of America (VOA), Africa Division. The incumbent coordinates the production of television programming and is responsible for the flawless on air execution of live Portuguese television programs, including the production of high quality packages. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of all production requirements with show editors and technical staff.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Oversees pre-production, production and post-production tasks to produce live and recorded video programming.
Creates line-ups, rundowns and time segments.
Writes stories for on-camera packages.
Edits news and feature packages.
Creates and maintains a database of contacts in order to plan, coordinate and/or advise on program participation.
Keeps abreast of the media climate in the target region to ensure the competitiveness of programming in the marketplace.
Applicants must have a minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the GS-11 or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector AND fluency in the English and Portuguese languages. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled.
