    Responsibilities

    This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information & Technology (OIT) within Development, Security & Operations (DEVSECOPS).

    In this position, you will serve as an IT Specialist (Enterprise Architecture/System Analysis) and will be responsible a range of duties to ensure IT products fit and securely function within the existing enterprise environment.

    This position is primarily aligned to the following NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework work roles.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and to attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work sit. Some employees may carry light items such as papers, books, or small parts, or drive a motor vehicle. The work does not require any special physical effort.



    This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-11. At the GS-09 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-11. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. Promotion is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.

    Major Duties:
    • Develops data visualization strategies and dashboards to share business data at the operational and strategic levels.
    • Conducts research, design, prototyping, and other exploration activities.
    • Consults with customers to evaluate functional requirements and translate into technical solutions.
    • Works with cross-function teams to provide tech-driven solutions for customers.
    • Analyzes, plans, designs, implements, and documents the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans and systems with the mission, goals, structure and processes of the organization.
