This position is located in the Office of the Secretary, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Office of Cybersecurity and IT Risk Management.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor over a staff of Information Technology (IT) Specialists who perform a wide range of IT management activities that extend and apply to the entire DOC organization and its major components. The work directed includes one, or more, of the following: analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the IT systems framework and its alignment with broad Information Technology (IT) strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization. The incumbent functions as an expert in the development of strategic information base that accesses the mission of the agency, and describes the technology and information needed to perform that mission. Functions as an expert in the development of strategic information. Duties include:
- Manage enterprise-wide cybersecurity and/or national security system programs.
- Coordinate with Office of Management and Budget, Office of the Director for National Intelligence, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and other executive departments/ agencies.
- Develop periodic status reports for senior management regarding the cybersecurity and/or national security system posture of the Department.
