EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Operations, Data Network Services Division, Video Operations Branch, Video HQ Team. In this position you will be responsible for daily audiovisual (AV), video teleconferencing (VTC) operational and technical support for senior level meetings, all hands, as well as supporting 120+ existing conference and meeting spaces at our Headquarters facility. Typical duties include:
- Providing AV/VTC operational support for National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) activation working 12-hour shifts.
- Providing technical support levels 1, 2, 3 for NRCC and other meeting spaces.
- Providing customer operational training on AV systems and hardware.
- Coordinating with vendors and manufacturers on technical issues, on-site maintenance, and repair visits.
- Coordinating Return Material Authorization (RMA) repair of hardware and coordination with property custodian.
- Managing workload under pressure, with quick deadlines, to provide operational and technical support for senior leadership and VIPs to include daily operations as well as disaster activation support for extended periods of time.
Occasional travel - Occasional non-emergency travel may be required.
