WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Program Staff Assistant, at the full performance level, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Providing technical and administrative support to the Regional Manager (RM) and Regional Office staff.
Assisting in reporting, data entry, review, editing, analysis and quality assurance of the Case Management Database. Assisting Program Information Management Resource Analyst (PIMRA) in developing and monitoring a comprehensive quality assurance program to assure an acceptable level of quality of the data reported in the Case Management Database.
Assisting as assigned, in the review of complaints to determine whether OCR has jurisdiction to accept complaints for investigation. Upon making the determination that a complaint cannot be investigated by OCR, the incumbent makes or assists in the appropriate referral and closes the complaint following office policies and procedures.
Maintaining and generating reports for various control systems in the Regional Office including mail and document control. Ensuring all case-related documentation is entered into case management database, including letters, internal correspondence, communications from complainants and covered entities, data requests and responses, and notes.
Making travel arrangements for RM and Regional Office staff. Preparing itineraries and vouchers, making transportation and hotel reservations, notifying offices to be visited, and gathering any materials the traveler will need.
Serving as Principal Timekeeper for the Regional Office and maintains time and attendance records.
Assisting the PIMRA in processing actions in the human resources and payroll system, such as new hires, separations, promotions, pay increases, transfers, demotions, retirements, terminations, adverse actions, Performance Management Appraisal Program (PMAPS), etc.
