As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Deputy Director, ODA Support Systems) at the GS-2210-15, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Ensure the work efforts which significantly impact the Disaster Assistance Program (loss verification, loan processing and legal disbursement) achieve the outcomes specified in the ODA business strategy as well as ensuring the way the DOIT utilizes technology to deliver services to disaster survivors.
Sets the policy, standards and procedures regarding information technology and has the latitude to establish goals and priorities for each branch and responsibility for the planning and oversight of their strategic technology mission and vision for the DOIT.
Responsible for ensuring the appropriate outcome of strategic, life cycle management and capital IT investment plans. Work includes project evaluation and monitoring, cost schedule management, risk management, quality management and resource allocations.
Develops ODA plans, procedures and standards to strengthen and improve the agency's relationship with Federal, state, and local agencies whose programs impact the delivery of disaster assistance through information technology such as the telecommunications systems.
Inspects the design and integration status of systems managed within the ODA, such as the telecommunications systems; considers operational execution in terms of requirements, performance, and compliance with overarching plans; and makes recommendations to modify systems as needed to better meet the ODA mission.
Serve as the second level supervisory responsibilities and authorities over the ODA Support Systems staff including establishing goals and objectives; allocating resources to meet priorities and work constraints.
