    About the position:
    This position will be assigned to the Auto Skills Center at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. This position will be filled as a flex position with the possibility of converting to regular employment after acceptable 90 day evaluation rating.

    Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, crawling and working under vehicles and working in tight spaces. Frequently lifts, handles and carries parts and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs

    This position performs and instructs patrons in minor motor vehicle repairs and maintenance on a variety of motor vehicles and motorized equipment that includes cleaning, reinstalling or replacing parts or components and systems such as fouled spark plugs, leaky wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, and worn brake shoes. Locates worn, dirty, or poorly adjusted parts through visual check or use of a small variety of test equipment (timing lights, feeler gauges and circuit testers). Uses a variety of common hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, brake tools, ignition tools, screwdrivers etc
