This position serves as the Quality Assurance/Risk Management with responsibilities for developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating quality assurance and risk management programs for the Indian Health Service. The position is located at the Santa Fe Service Unit and will service four health care facilities at Santa Fe, Santa Clara, Cochiti and San Felipe which provide care for the local Indian people and other eligible patients.Learn more about this agency
- Develops, plans implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates clinic-wide quality assurance and risk management programs.
- Provides expert consultation on the analyses, evaluation and comparison of health and medical care administered by health care systems in comparison with adopted noted, standards, criteria and Indian Health Service, state and national databases.
- Monitors existing systems and identified and analyzes deficiencies, assisting individuals or departments in assessment of services or quality improvement activities and formulating corrective action as necessary.
- Plans, directs and coordinates the risk management program to minimize the risk of personal injury to patients, visitors and employees, and reduces Indian Health Service exposure to liability and/or litigation.
